I went to Sephora the other day and got lots of new goodies to try out and use, lots of shadows and mascaras. I'm VERY excited about it all. I highly recommend the Sephora mascara favorites sampler, they give you 8 mini's, 2 full sizes and some eye makeup remover. Really good brands that I'm excited to try out, and makes a great gift!
Anyone out there have an absolute FAVORITE brand of Mascara? Leave me a comment telling me which one and why! I love me some Mascara!

My first "Look" post!
Purple is one of my favorite colors to use with eyeshadow, and this is one of my new favorite finds! It's the new "infallible color" from L'oreal Paris, and I'm in love with their shadows! It's a creme-powder eyeshadow, and they give the best shimmer and are great for blending!
For this look I used:
Lancome "Aquatique" primer in "Nude"
L'oreal Paris Infallible Color Eyeshadow in Purple Obsession & Flashback Silver (not really silver, it looks more of a purple tint.
MAC Fluidline Eyeliner in Black
MAC Fluidline Eyeliner in Black
MAC "False Lashes" in "Extreme Black" & L'oreal Paris Telescopic Explosion Mascara in "Black" (for the lashes in the corners of my eyes)
Anastasia "Brow Powder Duo" in "Brunette/Dark Brown" (I used the Dark Brown half)
L'oreal Bare Naturale "Soft Focus Mineral Finish" in Translucent for my finishing powder
I actually didn't start out to use so much L'oreal! But you don't always have to use professional, expensive makeup to achieve a polished look.
TIP: Clean your makeup brushes at least once a week! If you don't want to go out and buy a brush cleaner, you can either use 90% Alcohol available at drugstores (90% really gets rid of any extra product/pigment left in your brushes, but if you're using you're brushes on someone else, and you may not want to cross contaminate, use 70% instead, that percentage disinfects more believe it or not!) or get some baby shampoo, use very little and very gently wash your brushes with it in the sink. Leave them out on a towel or paper towel overnight to dry, and once dry just fluff them a bit to get them back to their natural state.

Welcome Everyone!
I have many passions. Music, Medicine, People... But this Blog is about my passions for Beauty. Makeup, Hair, Skincare, Personality, Character, everything that makes a person beautiful.
Some posts will have pictures of makeup I have done on myself. Some will feature complete looks, or some might focus on a certain feature, such as eyes, lips etc. Other posts will be about skincare, hair care, like the title says, EVERYTHING beauty!
I'll post every product I used in any photo, so you yourselves may recreate the look exactly.
I will also answer questions from comments and emails in posts. Please feel free to leave any questions, comments etc. but please leave at least a name with them!
I will offer advice, answers and knowledge to the best of my abilities. I will also include posts about makeup or hairstyling tools, tips and tricks, and reviews of products. If you are wondering about a certain product, post a question to me, and I might have the product, or might be able to obtain information on it, or I'll even buy the product myself to try out if able!
I do please ask that the comment sections don't fill up with other people giving their own advice, I don't doubt you all have some, but the purpose of starting this blog is for me to be able to share my passion with you, as well as insights, advice, and to be challenged as well, and if a whole bunch of other people start answering people's questions and chiming in their own advice, then the point of my blog starts to become moot. If I happen to get something wrong, or you are a fellow freelance or professional makeup artists or hairstylists that have something to add, please feel free to email me at the address listed at the bottom of this post, as well as my profile.
I have a look coming up in my next post, once my camera has a charged battery, and I upload photos!
What I have to share in this post: With Christmas coming up, sometimes you don't just want to get someone a gift certificate. If you know someone who loves makeup or beauty products, I highly suggest getting them a gift basket or package. Some recommendations are Sephora (they sell "look packages" supplying everything you need for a smokey eye etc. or a gift package with a selection of lip glosses.), The Body Shop and Bath and Body works has the best gift baskets I know for lotions, body washes, body sprays, perfumes etc. and MAC has a holiday collection out with makeup palettes and lip gloss packages. It's a great way to get someone something in place of a gift card, something that gives them a chance to try products, and by always including a gift receipt in case they happen not to like it, they do still have the option of going and picking something else out!
I look forward to interacting with you all, and the posts and questions to come!
Questions can be left in the comments section, or you can email me at beautyblog004@gmail.com
